Stop Asking and Start Living

Living with OCD is an often misunderstood and misrepresented experience. If it was just about being organized or having everything sparkling clean in your home I wouldn’t be running a group about it. OCD is an isolating disorder that can lead to feelings of alienation, depression, anxiety and shame. This group serves to show you that you do not need to live in those feelings—giving participants an opportunity to break stigma and show up for themselves, not their OCD. In this group we will name the intrusive thoughts, share personal experience and sit in a space of discomfort in the unknown. This group will also include psycho-education and resources in addition to the weekly meetings. Reach out, get uncomfortable and feel better.

Speak Now or FOrever hold Your Peace

If we learned anything from Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph it’s that when your best friend is getting married  feelings arise. Excitement that sometimes feels more like jealousy than we would like to admit. Resentment over a budget that doesn’t compute. Frustrations with ourselves not being able to say no, not wanting to disappoint, nobody wants to be the one to let their friend down. Being a good friend and a good bridesmaid doesn’t mean sacrificing your own needs—in fact when we can process our emotions, set boundaries and be honest we are able to show up more fully in our relationships. This 12 week process group will be a container to process those complicated emotions, leaning on group members to hold each other up and hold each other accountable in relationships, and  you may even get a recommendation for where to get a pair of heels you can actually dance in for 5 hours.
